DISTRICT AWARDS GRANT TO CENTRAL FLORIDA COMMUNITY ARTS

The District recently awarded Central Florida Community Arts a $25,000 grant to expand two low-cost programs customized for adults over 60. “Arts in Action!” will offer healthy seniors the opportunity to participate in one of several 10-week courses, including singing, storytelling, acting and improv. A second, 15-week singing program called “Arts & Wellness” is specifically designed for adults experiencing the early stages of memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
